Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures such as cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from rooms, dusting and polishing furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing outside trash
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards regardless of assigned area
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
