Job Requirements
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
- Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, standing for eight-hour shifts, and performing tasks requiring vision abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules
- Ability to follow training programs and maintain superior customer service
- Ability to notify supervisors regarding safety, security, and guest concerns
- Comfortable working indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Ability to occasionally perform tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Any combination of education, training or experience that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, vacuuming or washing floors, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grill, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
