Job Requirements
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to work indoors with exposure to hard and carpeted surfaces
- Comfortable with exposure to extreme weather conditions such as cold and heat
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment safely and efficiently
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, vacuuming or washing floors, removing trash, and dusting and polishing furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding exterior areas
- Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards regardless of specific assignment
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
- Notify supervisor immediately of safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
