Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
- Possess knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
- Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Ability to use vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to work in indoor environments with hard and carpeted surfaces
- Flexibility to work in exposure to weather conditions including cold and heat
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including all bath and kitchen areas
- Clean floors by vacuuming or washing
- Remove trash from guest rooms
- Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company cleanliness standards
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of safety and security violations or guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
