Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • Possess knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Ability to use vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Willingness to work in indoor environments with hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Flexibility to work in exposure to weather conditions including cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including all bath and kitchen areas
  • Clean floors by vacuuming or washing
  • Remove trash from guest rooms
  • Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company cleanliness standards
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of safety and security violations or guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
