Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
- Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Capability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
- Willingness to work indoors and tolerate exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work flexible schedules
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, vacuuming or washing floors, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance, which includes cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if the specific area is not assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations of policy and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping carts
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
- Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
