Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and/or move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
  • Ability to see close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors and be exposed to extreme weather conditions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to follow company standards and safety policies

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Any combination of education, training or experience providing necessary knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, vacuuming or washing floors, removing trash, dusting and polishing furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, doors, and removing outside trash
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • Notify supervisor immediately of safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
