Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Ability to work in exposure to extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to maintain superior customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge and skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • Clean floors by vacuuming or washing
  • Remove all trash from guest rooms
  • Dust and polish guest room furnishings
  • Maintain exterior room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing outside trash
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
