Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work with cleaning products, chemicals and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company
- Ability to work indoors, continuously standing and walking for a majority of the time
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
- Regularly lift, bend and kneel
- Occasionally work outdoors
- Possess hearing, vision, speech and literacy critical for safety and effectiveness in the role
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 6 months of related experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning products and use of safety equipment
- Ability to follow safety and operational procedures
- Basic literacy skills for understanding instructions
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Regularly cleans items such as trash cans, windows, doors and mirrors as well as elevators
- Details rooms, shampoos carpets in the hotel rooms and hotel hallways
- Moves furniture and makes room deliveries, including linens
- Assists houseperson with special projects, hotel rooms, cleaning floors, and lighting fixtures
- Handles and disposes of biohazard materials in accordance with OSHA training provided by the company
- Scrubs and disinfects sinks, toilets, furniture and various fixtures
- Replenishes supplies in housekeeping, maintains housekeeping warehouse area and other work areas
- Performs other duties as assigned
