Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
  • Physical capability to transport up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to follow safety and cleaning protocols
  • Good eye for detail including sight, touch, and smell
  • Ability to handle interruptions and multitask
  • Ability to maneuver cleaning carts and equipment
  • Ability to perform tasks involving squatting, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling during shifts
  • Ability to work in both indoor air-conditioned and outdoor non-air-conditioned environments
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of guest rooms
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Proven experience in housekeeping or related hospitality role preferred
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide excellent customer service
  • Familiarity with hotel services, features, and local attractions
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Knowledge of correct cleaning chemicals and procedures
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to report maintenance and security issues promptly

Job Duties

  • Greet and acknowledge all arriving and departing guests
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas at all times
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces according to safety regulations
  • Clean guest rooms by priority and as assigned
  • Report maintenance problems and security concerns immediately
  • Replenish room amenities to hotel standards and inspect linens for quality
  • Perform turndown services and prepare rooms according to hotel standards
  • Transport carts with cleaning supplies and linens to assigned rooms
  • Inspect furniture and fixtures for damage and report accordingly
  • Vacuum rooms thoroughly and clean all surfaces including lamps and switches
  • Handle guest requests for shoe shines and laundry services
  • Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property
  • Neaten housekeeping carts and equipment
  • Log service activities and report valuables verification to security
  • Make sure informational folios in rooms are updated
  • Turn over lost and found items to the supervisor
  • Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned
  • Follow all safety and operational procedures strictly
