Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is advantageous
  • Ability to work evening hours, typically between 1:30 pm and 9:30 pm
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning and turndown duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
  • Must be able to maintain guest confidentiality
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Positive attitude and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Complete 24 turndown rooms between 5:30-9:30 pm
  • Complete daily assigned stayover and checkout rooms/credit, usually 3-4 credits per day between 1:30 pm-5:00 pm
  • Turndown occupied and arrival guest rooms including replacing used amenities, ice, towels, glasses, turndown bed, leaving chocolates, emptying trash, closing drapes, and turning on music following proper sequence
  • Clean occupied and departure rooms including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing restrooms, cleaning patio, and refreshing and supplying guest room amenities
  • Efficiently process and prioritize tasks
  • Be attentive to guests and continually serve to ensure an enjoyable visit
  • Remain calm and courteous in demanding and difficult guest situations, resolving when possible and reporting to supervisor or manager
  • Safely operate Hostar equipment
  • Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information
  • Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property including assigned keys and communication devices
  • Follow lost and found protocols
  • Display work habits that promote accident prevention
  • Adhere to health department sanitation and safety regulations
  • Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance needs to supervisor or manager
  • Report guest room maintenance needs via Know Cross
  • Assist in preparation, cleaning, and upkeep of Casa Elar estate as required
  • Wash dishes, touch-up library, parlor, bar, patios, and pool area at Casa Elar assigned duties
