Job Requirements
- appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting
- knowledge of cleaning practices and safety protocols
- excellent communication skills in english
- ability to lift at least 25 lbs and carry objects
- physical ability to push and pull carts, continuously walk, sit and stand
- ability to crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist and reach above shoulder height
- ability to use cleaning equipment safely
- willingness to perform routine and repetitive tasks with a positive attitude
- compliance with all health and safety guidelines including handling of hazardous chemicals
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in housekeeping in health care or hospitality preferred
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of cleaning practices and substances
- ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards
- ability to communicate in english both orally and in writing
- frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- previous housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting preferred
- no required certificates or licenses
Job Duties
- promote the mission and core values of the residence and lcb senior living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
- as an associate you are expected to have an active role in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals
- thoroughly clean the bathrooms including toilet, vanity, sink, shower, shower seat and floor with cleaning solution
- cleans kitchen areas completely including wiping counters and under objects, mopping kitchen floors
- empty wastebaskets and replace bags
- dust and polish all surfaces
- wipe off all surfaces including windowsills, woodwork and counters
- clean carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, disinfecting
- clean all common areas and common bathrooms on a daily basis, and as often as needed
- maintain housekeeping carts in clean, orderly manner
- remove, fold and return bed linens
- wash and fold linens
- fill other positions as needed when someone is out
- clean and wash windows
- clean and dust blinds
- perform general pick-up outside as needed
- attend required in-service training and orientations
- perform other duties as requested
