Job Requirements
- less than high school education required
- driver license required
- must be at least 21 years of age if driving HonorHealth vehicles
- provide a current and valid Arizona driver license
- have a clean driving record as per HonorHealth Network Driver Qualification Policy
- successfully complete HonorHealth Defensive Driving Course if required to drive
- ability to perform heavy cleaning tasks
- availability to work varied day shifts including 12pm-830pm
- physical capability to perform cleaning and floor care duties
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- 12 to 24 months experience preferred
- driver license required
- ability to follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines
- good communication skills for patient safety rounding
- basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance
- knowledge of cleaning products and floor care equipment
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- place linen on distribution carts
- fold and stage scrub sets for stocking in scrub ex machines
- clean and organize linen room
- fill requisitions for housekeeping supplies and deliver to nursing unit supply closets
- stage housekeeper carts with supplies, chemicals, and mops
- dust mop floors and corridors as assigned
- inspect cleaning equipment and perform scheduled preventative maintenance
- participate in patient safety rounding and monitor patient for signs of distress
- maintain hard surface floors by following correct cleaning, stripping, and refinishing processes
- maintain soft surface floors including carpet care and spotting techniques
- clean assigned patient and non-patient areas and equipment following established cleaning procedures
- clean, sanitize, and make beds on patient transfers and discharges
- transport regular waste, medical waste, and linen to appropriate collection sites
- keep soiled utility rooms and waste carts clean
- wear personal protective equipment while performing cleaning and transporting waste
