Job Requirements
- Less than high school diploma required
- Driver license required
- Must be at least 21 years old to drive HonorHealth vehicles
- Clean driving record as defined by HonorHealth Network Driver Qualification Policy
- Ability to obtain and provide Motor Vehicle Report from Department of Motor Vehicles
- Successful completion of HonorHealth Defensive Driving Course with certificate of completion
- Ability to perform heavy physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- Availability to work evening shifts from 11 am to 7:30 pm, 32 hours per week
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 12 to 24 months of related experience preferred
- Driver license required
- Ability to operate floor care and cleaning equipment proficiently
- Knowledge of cleaning products and infection control standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Place linen on distribution carts
- Fold and stage scrub sets for stocking in Scrub Ex machines
- Clean and organize linen room
- Fill requisitions for housekeeping supplies and deliver and replenish nursing unit supply closets
- Stage Housekeeper carts with supplies, chemicals, and mops
- Dust mop floors and corridors
- Inspect cleaning equipment and perform scheduled preventative maintenance
- Participate in patient safety rounding and monitor patients for signs of distress
- Maintain hard surface floors through daily and periodical care, including stripping and refinishing
- Maintain soft surface floors by daily and periodical carpet care and spotting techniques
- Clean assigned patient/non-patient areas and equipment following established procedures
- Clean, sanitize, and make beds on transfers and discharges promptly
- Transport regular waste, medical waste, and linen to appropriate collection sites and maintain cleanliness of utility rooms and waste carts
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing cleaning and waste handling tasks
