Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years of employment in a related position
  • working knowledge of housekeeping and hotel services, policies and operations
  • ability to communicate effectively with management, staff and guests
  • capability to enforce compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • ability to provide training and direct staff
  • willingness to assist with operational tasks as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • one to two years of experience in related position
  • working knowledge of housekeeping and hotel policies and operations
  • effective communication skills with management, staff and guests
  • ability to provide training and performance feedback
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Supervise the housekeeping staff
  • provide open communications, training, coaching and counsel and provide performance feedback
  • supervise and inspect cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house
  • ensure compliance with safety, health, sanitation standards and regulations
  • issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration
  • issue supplies/goods to staff at beginning of shift for inventory control
  • respond to guest requests, concerns and problems
  • log items into Lost and Found and answer inquiries
  • implement emergency training and procedures
  • assist evening staff with cleaning duties
  • perform special projects and participate in hotel committees
