Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • one year of housekeeping supervisor experience at a resort or hotel required
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • no college degree required
  • ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and carry during work
  • ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • visual acuity sufficient to inspect the cleanliness of rooms and surfaces

Job Qualifications

  • One year of housekeeping supervisor experience at a resort or hotel
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • no college degree required
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • knowledge of OSHA regulations regarding cleaning chemicals
  • ability to perform room inspections for cleanliness and safety
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Hire and manage all room, house, and public area team members
  • provide training to team members regularly
  • identify areas of improvement and efficiency
  • ensure that room attendants consistently perform stay-over and vacant attendant service
  • inspect all assigned guest rooms to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • demonstrate proper use of cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces
  • handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
