Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Positive attitude and guest service aptitude
- Flexible availability
- Physical ability to stand and walk up to 6 hours per day
- Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Wear closed toe, non-canvas and non-skid soled shoes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer skills including Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Previous housekeeping and supervisory experience
- Aptitude for guest services and positive attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Job Duties
- Assist Director of Housekeeping in his/her absence to facilitate all aspects of daily housekeeping operations
- Provide feedback on staff performance to Director of Housekeeping
- Assist in determining specific work assignments for room attendants and support staff according to staffing guides and occupancy rate
- Distribute assignment, making necessary changes during shift
- Ensure attractive and clean facility in rooms and all public areas including offices and supply closets
- Monitor progress of housekeeping associates ensuring training, policy familiarity, cleaning standards, timely completion, and job comfort
- Make sure all housekeeping associates clock in properly and wear uniforms each workday
- Assist in keeping payroll budgets aligned with departmental budget and report accurately
- Ensure quality control training and safe use of chemicals and equipment
- Schedule daily special cleaning projects
- Coordinate linen handling including inventory, distribution, collection, and storage organization
- Ensure ready rooms are reported timely to front desk
- Comply with and enforce key security procedures
- Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from guests or management
- Perform housekeeping duties if staff levels are inadequate
