Job Duties
- Supervises basic cleaning functions in assigned areas following established community schedules and protocols
- Oversees dusting of horizontal surfaces and furniture cleaning
- Ensures wastebaskets are emptied, waste removed, and baskets relined
- Manages cleaning and polishing of metal, plastic, and porcelain bathroom fixtures
- Directs mopping and sanitizing of floors in rooms and offices
- Supervises spot cleaning of walls, windows, and polish of metal surfaces
- Oversees replenishment of room supplies such as toilet paper, tissues, and soap
- Coordinates vacuuming and spot cleaning of carpets
- Performs heavier cleaning tasks including carpet shampooing, window cleaning, wall wiping, and light fixture maintenance
- Assists in emergency spill cleaning when requested
- Maintains infection control measures and uses Standard Precautions
- Manages use and storage of community-approved cleaning products and equipment
- Recommends cleaning equipment repairs or replacements as needed
