Job Requirements

  • Diploma in hospitality or tourism management or relevant field
  • Minimum of two years of progressive hotel rooms management experience
  • Strong desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • High energy and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Must be a motivational leader
  • Effective communicator
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to improve the bottom line
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness on a daily basis
  • Prepares and distributes the room assignment sheet and floor keys
  • Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
  • Train associates on cleanliness standards aligned to achieving cleanliness goal
  • Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
  • Respond to customer complaints and special requests with corrective action
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock
  • Stocks and maintains supply rooms orders supplies according to a budget
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with the Front Office and other departments of the hotel
  • Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage
  • Inventory management of the stock required in cleaning and maintenance
  • Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed
