Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- able to lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly
- ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and move safely over uneven terrain
- able to work inside and outside in various climates
- able to travel by airplane and automobile
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum two years experience in housekeeping or related field
- verbal and written fluency in English
- strong decision-making ability
- excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- ability to manage confrontation
- capable of motivating, leading and developing diverse teams
- substantial knowledge and experience in housekeeping and janitorial procedures
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- motivated, goal-oriented, and results driven
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- valid driver’s license
- able to work nights, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Determine the number of housekeepers needed to complete tasks within specific time periods
- train new employees on proper cleaning techniques
- conduct regular inspections of restrooms, accommodation units and public spaces
- oversee and complete maintenance requests promptly
- ensure supplies are available for team members
- communicate daily activities and issues to management
- establish good communication and teamwork with other departments
- ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
- maintain inventory and order replacements
- assist in achieving departmental budget goals
- aid in hiring, training and updating management on team performance
- prepare reports related to procedures, scheduling and attendance
- provide excellent customer service
- maintain equipment and supply inventories
- organize and manage time effectively
- follow quality assurance manual
- foster a positive work environment and team morale
- monitor and implement department safety programs
