Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • minimum of four years experience in housekeeping supervisory role
  • ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal
  • professional demeanor and attire
  • strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to perform in a team environment
  • must be 21 years or older
  • must have or be able to obtain Nevada Food Handlers Card
  • proficiency with computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Opera, HotSOS, and Starguest preferred
  • previous experience in luxury gaming or hospitality environment desired

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of four years experience in housekeeping supervisory role
  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • high school diploma
  • ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal
  • professional demeanor and attire
  • strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • ability to perform in a team environment
  • proven ability to resolve guest conflicts or escalate to management
  • flexibility to wear different hats on short notice
  • ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships across staff and leadership
  • previous experience in high-end luxury gaming or hospitality environment desired
  • exceptional time management skills
  • proficiency or expert understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Opera, HotSOS, and Starguest preferred
  • must be 21 years or older
  • must be able to have Nevada Food Handlers Card at time of hire

Job Duties

  • Verify room status on AM reports
  • report discrepant rooms
  • prioritize and update status of check-out rooms
  • coordinate daily activities and inspections
  • prepare daily assignments and tasks
  • maintain accurate records
  • communicate additions or changes to assignment sheets during shifts
  • identify situations compromising department standards and delegate tasks
  • inspect supply levels, cleanliness and organization of floor closets
  • assign personnel to rectify deficiencies
  • check Room Attendant's carts for proper supplies, neatness, cleanliness and mechanical problems and instruct correction
  • inspect rooms using designated checklist
  • ensure rooms meet hotel specifications
  • follow up on corrections and communicate deficiencies
  • update room status after approval
  • check vacant and out-of-service rooms, verify and update statuses
  • mark dirty sheets and ensure re-laundering
  • counsel Room Attendants on discrepancies
  • address and administer employee action notices
  • ensure all areas meet cleanliness and condition standards
  • complete work orders for maintenance repairs
  • accommodate guest housekeeping requests expediently
  • conduct staff training
  • monitor and handle guest complaints using pacification procedures
  • provide performance feedback to manager
  • report disciplinary problems
  • email management with pertinent information
  • complete paperwork and closing duties
  • review assignment status and follow-ups with management
  • undertake projects assigned by management
