Job Requirements

  • Open availability including weekends and holidays
  • ability to bend, lift, kneel, and be in motion for a full workday
  • able to move continuously during work hours and lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • maintains favorable working relationships with associates
  • performs duties timely and efficiently following company policies
  • communicates regularly with management
  • keeps immediate supervisor informed of significant issues
  • utilizes company resources effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally and in writing
  • ability to work and interact with associates at all levels
  • excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills
  • ability to direct and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
  • projects a favorable public image of the hotel at all times
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations
  • basic computer skills for record keeping

Job Duties

  • Ensures guest satisfaction by supervising daily cleaning of hotel and grounds according to operational policies and standards
  • schedules associates in accordance with forecasted occupancy and adjusts staffing as necessary for sudden changes
  • plans, assigns and supervises daily activities of housekeeping and laundry staff
  • assumes the role of housekeeper, laundry person or house person as needed
  • conducts continual inspections to determine overall cleanliness and condition and performs follow-ups
  • schedules and supervises all rotational and special cleaning programs
  • ensures team has necessary tools and equipment
  • works with maintenance to generate work orders and manage preventative maintenance
  • manages lost and found
  • coordinates availability of rooms with front of house management
  • keeps accurate and current records, logs, parts lists, manuals, and reference books
  • monitors customer comment card responses, identifies problem areas and formulates solutions
  • maintains proper inventory levels managing cost per room for supplies and labor
  • performs monthly inventory
