Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or similar role
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and scheduling

Job Duties

  • Responsible for opening and/or closing the housekeeping office, to include breaking out the house and completing end of day paperwork
  • Monitor hours worked to manage efficiency and excess hours
  • Monitor the performance of staff daily and enforce rules fairly and without favoritism
  • Inspect rooms on a daily basis to maintain the standards of the hotel and confirm that all assigned tasks of staff have been completed
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager when needed by attending departmental meetings, conducting daily meetings with staff, order supplies, complete the schedule etc
  • Must be knowledgeable in health and safety procedures for the department
