Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable punctuality with adherence to clock-in and clock-out policies
  • Ability to follow all established guidelines and procedures
  • Effective listening and conflict resolution skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to stretch beyond traditional role boundaries
  • Ability to handle high-pressure and stressful situations
  • Must maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times
  • Willingness to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Must participate in housekeeping cleaning duties as required
  • Provide sufficient notice for call-outs as directed by supervisor

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality or service industries preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work well under high pressure and fast-paced environments
  • Strong commitment to guest hospitality and service
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Minimum age of 18 years

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and use their names to create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Handle challenging guest situations with urgency and hospitality
  • Maintain spotless cleanliness in all guest rooms and public spaces
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings with housekeeping staff to assign tasks and review objectives
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality and cleanliness standards
  • Manage guest request logs and proactively address issues
  • Monitor VIP guests and special requests to ensure exceptional service
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage, mechanical, and laundry rooms
  • Oversee inventory management for housekeeping and laundry supplies
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up with engineering department
  • Manage lost and found procedures according to hotel standards
  • Enforce OSHA chemical safety regulations for hazardous chemicals
  • Maintain key control system for the housekeeping department
  • Remove trash and dirty linen, replenish supplies, and perform deep cleaning duties as required
  • Complete accurate shift handover reports and operational checklists
  • Wear a clean uniform and maintain professional grooming standards
