Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly and service oriented attitude

Job Duties

  • Inspect Room Attendant's work performance within assigned section daily to ensure standards and productivity
  • Inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office in absence of Housekeeping Manager
  • Oversee closing of floors ensuring Room Attendants' carts are clean and restocked
  • Complete and submit records of daily assignments on time
  • Maintain key control and handle lost and found items per standards
  • Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings
  • Assign daily duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants
  • Maintain communication with Front Office and Engineering through pager or radio
  • Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager
  • Initiate and follow through on work orders for repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with training of Housekeeping staff
  • Clean rooms as needed based on business needs
  • Ensure completion of biannual cleaning projects
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
