Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of progressive experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a friendly, courteous and service oriented manner

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Inspect room attendant's work performance within assigned section daily to ensure standards and productivity are met
  • Inspect VIP rooms and report their availability to Front Office in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager
  • Oversee closing of floors at end of day ensuring room attendants' carts are clean and restocked
  • Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off, and submitted on time
  • Maintain key control
  • Handle items for Lost and Found according to standards
  • Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of room attendants' carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings
  • Oversee daily assignment of duties to room attendants and house attendants
  • Carry active pager/radio to maintain contact with Front Office and Engineering
  • Report progress of all out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager
  • Initiate and follow up on work orders for repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with training of housekeeping staff
  • May be required to clean rooms as business needs dictate
  • Ensure completion of cleaning projects biannually
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
