Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to train and motivate staff
  • Knowledge of cleaning tools chemicals and safety procedures
  • Basic scheduling and inventory management skills
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job
  • Understanding of brand quality standards and operational policies

Job Duties

  • Inspect guest rooms meeting rooms public spaces and hallways for cleanliness and order
  • Coordinate cleaning and maintenance schedules according to guest needs in coordination with front desk and maintenance personnel
  • Verify completion of laundry and inventory restocking
  • Train and coach housekeeping staff in cleaning and room placement tasks and completion of daily schedules
  • Conduct new employee training
  • Support hotel leadership in managing labor costs within budget and staffing guidelines
  • Follow safety and security guidelines participate in safety committee serve as emergency responder
  • Manage supply inventory monitor storage procedures and housekeeper cart arrangements ensure safe chemical handling
  • Develop work schedules coordinate staff assignments with management and staffing guidelines
  • Conduct regular tours of work areas review housekeeping efforts check productivity perform or assist with cleaning duties
  • Assist General Manager in team member selection provide input for associate performance reviews
  • Ensure compliance with brand quality standards
  • Maintain effective guest relationships ensure staff compliance with dress and grooming standards
