Job Requirements

  • Reliable commute or plan to relocate to Anchorage, AK
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including day, night, weekends, and holidays
  • Minimum one year of cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cleaning preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure with patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in housekeeping or hospitality is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping operations and guest service standards

Job Duties

  • Supervise, schedule, and train Housekeeping staff emphasizing guest relations skills
  • Establish and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and departmental policies and liaison with other managers as appropriate
  • Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and complaints with accurate information and with a positive attitude to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Supervise the appropriate selection of rooms, based on guest needs, and instructions as per the Director of Housekeeping
  • Maintain Housekeeping supplies
  • Conduct property inspections at the start of each shift, beginning with the main lobby, guest corridors and elevator landings, and public space
  • Provide constant and consistent communications with other Housekeeping staff and other departments as needed
