Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years progressive experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly, courteous and service oriented manner

  • Two to three years progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Ability to stand during entire shift

Job Duties

  • Inspect room attendant's work performance within assigned section daily to ensure standards and productivity are met
  • Oversee the closing of floors at the end of the day, ensuring carts are clean and restocked
  • Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off and submitted on time
  • Maintain key control
  • Handle items for lost and found according to standards
  • Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings
  • Oversee daily assignment of duties ensuring room attendants and house attendants have work assignments
  • Carry active pager or radio to maintain contact with front office and engineering
  • Report progress of out-of-order rooms to guest services manager
  • Initiate and follow through on work orders for repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with training housekeeping staff
  • Clean rooms as business needs dictate
  • Ensure completion of biannual cleaning projects
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
