Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Provide patience and compassion when working with residents and family members
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and team members
- Strong attention to detail
- Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols for their facilities, including state-specified rules and regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs
- Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment
- Capable of providing emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility
- Participate in pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening
Job Duties
- Participates in preparation of food and food handling techniques to ensure quality maintaining sanitation and safety procedures
- Ensures that diets are served, as prescribed, by making only authorized substitutions
- Preparing meals, snacks and beverages following specific procedures
- Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items
- Performs day-to-day housekeeping functions in resident rooms and common areas in accordance with daily work assignments
- Identifies plans and incorporates residents' daily pleasures and interests into household life based upon recommendations from families and friends
- Distribute clean laundry, linen, and garments daily
- Empty trash / mop
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation to prevent food/home illnesses
- Other duties as assigned
