Job Requirements

  • Housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach and carry
  • Constant exposure to outside weather conditions

Job Duties

  • Safely maintain assigned housekeeping equipment and supplies
  • Ensure cabins are properly stocked and equipped
  • Remove trash and used linens from the guestrooms to prepare for cleaning
  • Set climate control on approved temperature settings
  • Report maintenance issues discovered while cleaning
  • Record location and turn in lost and found items
  • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
  • Inspect cabins, lodges, and any other company-owned, private guest quarters
  • Work with housekeepers to clean all guestrooms
  • Mentor housekeeping staff daily to ensure cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies are met or exceeded
  • Review results of inspections with cabin attendants and housekeepers
  • Use reservation system to properly communicate room status
  • Verify stayovers and report early check-outs
  • Collect and sort linen into appropriate groups for washing
  • Separate stained linen from other dirty linen and treat according to policy
  • Transport large loads in terry carts to the laundering area
  • Load and unload washers, dryers, and fold linens to company standards
  • Monitor supplies to ensure the department is well-stocked and organized
  • Clean appliances and equipment and report maintenance issues
  • Track discarded linens and report to Executive Housekeeper for replenishment
  • May assist teammates in collecting and delivering soiled linens
  • May assist teammates with cleaning duties
