Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles preferred
  • ability to perform physical labor including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • good organizational skills
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently

  • basic knowledge of health and safety practices
  • physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
  • ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
  • protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
  • notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
  • deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
  • check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
  • adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
  • clean and sanitize toilets, showers, countertops, and sinks
  • wash windows
  • sort, wash, load, and unload laundry
  • keep bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies
  • clean mirrors and other glass surfaces
  • empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste
  • report any necessary repairs or replacements
