Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to operate motorized cleaning equipment
- Compliance with safety standards and protocols
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Experience is not required
- Experience in environmental services is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand emergency instructions and basic safety terminology is critical
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred
- Comfortable with routine and repetitive work routines
- A pre-employment background check and drug screening will be required
- Housekeeping/Janitorial experience in healthcare
Job Duties
- Perform housekeeping and laundry activities to ensure the highest level of cleanliness
- Inspect rooms, public areas, and heart of the house for cleanliness
- Manage and maintain supply and linen inventories
- Ensure requests are responded to in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner
- Report all maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment
- Manage and maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Stop at-risk behavior of others and self
- Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Maintain clean work area
- Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
- Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
- Fill in during staff shortage
- Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
- Use proper personal protective equipment
- Present a professional appearance and conduct
- Understand customer service and satisfaction
- Understand reporting systems and of the environment
