Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate weights
  • Availability to work on-call shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures

  • Ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public
  • Ability to take direction, prioritize duties, and organize work with others
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies

Job Duties

  • General cleaning including floor care, washing, sanitizing, and polishing furniture and fixtures
  • Waste removal and stocking of supplies
  • Cleaning windows and maintaining cleanliness in common areas
  • Collecting, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and distributing resident laundry and linens according to schedule
  • Inspecting laundry and linens and communicating replacement needs
  • Ensuring housekeeping and laundry supplies are replenished in work areas
  • Cleaning and properly storing equipment, tools, and supplies at the end of shifts
