Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to read, write and understand English or currently in process
- physical ability to reach, bend, stoop, push or pull up to 30 pounds
- ability to follow established cleaning and safety protocols
- ability to work flexible per diem shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- ability to read, write and understand English or in process
- knowledge of hospital cleaning standards and protocols preferred
- experience with cleaning chemicals and equipment preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks required by the job
- strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff
- ability to work independently and maintain quality standards
- willingness to comply with infection control and safety procedures
Job Duties
- Adheres to the 7 Step Cleaning Process
- cleans all patient care areas, common areas, bathrooms and other assigned areas
- assures cleanliness and neat appearance of assigned areas within allotted time frame
- maintains and replenishes soap, towel, and toilet paper dispensers daily
- complies with Hazcom Program and ensures proper trash and soiled linen disposal
- follows proper disinfecting procedures for isolation and precaution areas
- uses chemicals and equipment according to guidelines
- ensures supply/storage closets and housekeeping/trash carts are clean and stocked
- performs physical tasks such as reaching, bending, stooping, pushing or pulling up to 30 pounds
- interacts consistently with individuals providing support and attention
- works independently and is responsible for quality of own work
- remains flexible in response to change
