Job Requirements

  • high school education or equivalent preferred
  • no prior job experience required
  • ability to speak, read, and write English
  • physically able to perform standing and walking tasks 100% of the time
  • capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • able to work in hot, cold, and occasionally dirty or hazardous conditions
  • able to work alone and with others

Job Duties

  • change all used linen daily
  • vacuum carpets daily
  • clean bathrooms thoroughly
  • dust all furniture and fixtures including headboards, mirrors, picture frames, credenzas, televisions, tables
  • ensure proper layout of furniture and amenities in each room type
  • be accountable for guests' belongings and report found items to supervisor
  • be aware of suspicious activities or persons and report immediately
  • place keys left behind in key box on cart
  • watch for message lights on check-out rooms and report to front desk
  • pull cart in front of door while working inside guest room without blocking hallway
  • verify key before allowing anyone into a room
  • follow all departmental rules and procedures
  • maintain assigned equipment and report problems
  • follow safety rules and use caution
  • perform other duties as assigned
