Job Duties
- obtain room assignments from the supervisor at the beginning of the shift
- check the cart to ensure it is correctly stocked
- know the correct procedure for entering a guest room
- move the cart across the opening of the room door with the open side of the cart facing the room after entering
- follow a set pattern of steps for daily cleaning of occupied and check-out rooms
- check room for damages to furniture and equipment
- report all damages and missing items to the supervisor immediately
- return any found items to lost and found with date, location found, and finder's name
- perform a final inspection of the room before leaving
- notify housekeeping that the room is clean and indicate occupancy status
- restock the cart and remove trash and dirty linen at the end of the shift
- respond to guest questions and provide assistance, directions, and information
- report suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to the safety/security department
- provide guidance for guest and employee safety during emergencies
- perform other duties as requested by the supervisor
