Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • Flexible and willing to work long hours
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Attend hotel meetings and training
  • Maintain proper uniform and personal grooming
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Show initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain regular attendance as scheduled

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Friendly, courteous and service-oriented demeanor
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and employees
  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies and linen setup
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
  • Keep hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day
  • Replenish chemical bottles
  • Clean rooms with doors closed unless guest requests otherwise
  • Report missing items to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • Report maintenance repairs immediately
  • Handle Lost and Found items per standards
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
