Job Requirements
- Meet time standards to ensure efficient workflow
- Good communication skills, written and verbal, in the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Ability to perceive and identify stains on towels and linens
- Ability to perceive and detect uncleanliness and soiled surfaces
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays

- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to navigate and use various software
- Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours
- Must be able to position self to fulfill cleaning tasks
- Requires grasping, reaching, and performing repetitive motions
- Must frequently lift or transport items weighing up to 75 pounds and maneuver carts and equipment weighing up to 200 pounds regularly
- Work tasks performed indoors in a basement setting
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures of plus 110 F possibly for one hour or more
- Must lift and transport up to 70 pounds consistently and maneuver equipment weighing up to 250 pounds regularly
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education preferred
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms in the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Ability to perceive and identify stains on towels and linens
- Ability to detect uncleanliness and soiled surfaces
- Ability to work independently
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to navigate and use various software
- Willingness to work varying schedules reflecting business needs
- Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings
- Compliance with hotel rules and regulations
Job Duties
- Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash and rubbish, cleaning room refrigerator, coffee/tea maker and supplies, and kitchen area
- Wear safety protection equipment in line with department regulations and local legislative requirements and follow established safety procedures at all times
- Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and local legislative requirements
- Use appropriate software to track room cleaning progress and report any room unable to be serviced to supervisor
- Use appropriate software to report necessary repairs or unsafe conditions and report to supervisor if necessary
- Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty
- Respond to guest complaints, special requests, and take action to ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping
- Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures
- Communicate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service
- Regularly assist with deep cleaning projects
- Perform turndown duties
- Other duties as assigned
