Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • ability to work long hours sometimes required
  • medium work requiring up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
  • ability to bend, lift, and stand or walk during entire shift
  • ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and name tag
  • comply with Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift
  • complete all pre-cleaning duties such as stocking guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
  • remove all trash and dirty linen from guest room
  • keep all hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed
  • clean room with the door always closed unless requested to do otherwise
  • report all missing items from room to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • handle all Lost and Found according to standards
  • perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor
