Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in the primary language used in the workplace
- physical ability to perform manual tasks including bending, twisting, lifting, and walking for extended periods
- ability to push and pull heavy cleaning carts
- willingness to work flexible hours including some weekends or holidays as needed
- ability to comply with safety and hygiene standards
- ability to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- ability to work as a team
- good communication and customer service skills
- ability to pull and push work-related equipment such as a loaded housekeeping cart over uneven and sloping surfaces
- ability to bend, twist, stoop, and pull
- ability to sit, stand, walk, or kneel for a long period of time
- ability to manipulate, turn, and grasp objects of different sizes and weights
- ability to follow verbal instructions
- ability to work independently without direct supervision and manage time efficiently
Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, and transports linens to various site locations
- makes beds in guest rooms
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, writing materials, bathroom supplies
- cleans rooms, kitchens, lobbies, lounges, bathrooms, landings, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
- sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture and equipment
- polishes metalwork
- washes windows, walls, door panels, sills, ceilings, and woodwork
- empties waste baskets
- cleans ashtrays
- transports trash to waste disposal area
- replaces light bulbs
- performs other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
