Job Requirements
- speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- ability to work varied shifts based on facility needs
- physically able to handle cleaning duties including moving furniture and equipment
- capable of working in temperature-controlled environments and occasionally in outdoor conditions
- willing to wear employee uniforms and follow safety protocols
- able to adhere to employer policies including participation in E-Verify program
Job Qualifications
- previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- ability to work as a team
- good communication and customer service skills
- ability to pull and push work-related equipment such as a loaded housekeeping cart over uneven and sloping surfaces
- ability to bend, twist, stoop, and pull
- ability to sit, stand, walk, or kneel for long periods of time
- ability to manipulate, turn, and grasp objects of different sizes and weights
- ability to follow verbal instructions
- ability to work independently without direct supervision and manage time efficiently
Job Duties
- sorts, counts, folds, and transports linens to various site locations
- makes beds in guest rooms
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, writing materials, bathroom supplies
- cleans rooms, kitchens, lobbies, lounges, bathrooms, landings, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
- sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture and equipment
- polishes metalwork
- washes windows, walls, door panels, sills, ceilings, and woodwork
- empties waste baskets
- cleans ashtrays
- transports trash to waste disposal area
- replaces light bulbs
- performs other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
