Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to physically maneuver through work areas
  • bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb stairs and steps, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
  • Able to work a varying schedule to include holidays and extended hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • One year prior experience in an equivalent cleaning position
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English at a basic level
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Job Duties

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and resetting guest bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom areas
  • Changing linens, making beds, organizing collateral on tables, straightening furniture, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping of rooms, emptying trash
  • Cleaning and maintaining common areas, lobby, restrooms, and offices
  • Washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and towels
  • Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by Housekeeping leadership team
  • Promoting a positive image of the property by displaying a pleasant and upbeat personality during each guest interaction
  • being comfortable responding to and carrying out specific guest needs and requests
  • Being courteous and helpful to guests, including reporting any guest request or lost/found items
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping leadership team that may or may not be inclusive of the normal scope of duties, and based upon business needs
