Job Requirements
- high school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate or training
- previous housekeeping experience preferred especially in a luxury or boutique hotel setting
- ability to stand and walk for entire shift
- ability to perform light to moderately heavy housekeeping duties including lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and climbing on step stools repeatedly throughout the work shift
- ability to use stairs and service elevators
- excellent communication skills
- ability to use tact and discretion when handling guests' personal items
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Clean guest rooms including stripping bed linens, emptying trash, cleaning mirrors, and dusting furniture
- clean and sanitize guest bathrooms including commodes, tubs, floors, marble countertops, walls, and mirrors
- gather trash and waste and properly dispose of items as specified by management
- ensure all lost and found items are tagged and delivered to housekeeping managers
- inspect rooms for completion of cleaning and needed repairs
- report any damage to furniture or fixtures to the director of rooms or housekeeping supervisor
- verify appropriate use of cleaning products according to safety data sheets
- arrange furniture, bedding, fixtures, and amenities according to the standardized room setting
- replenish housekeeping items such as bathrobes, slippers, towels, tissues, bath mats, bedding, hangers, pillows, and toiletries
- perform dusting and vacuuming in accordance with standards
- inspect guest rooms and record completed duties
- replace clean towels on racks
- place proper quantities of room accessories according to standards
- operate a light vacuum
- follow pet, smoke, and bug procedures as explained by management
- follow all safety and security policies and procedures
- prioritize room cleaning based on guest requests and arrivals
- complete all special projects requested by management
- deep clean assigned guest rooms once per year according to schedule and procedure
