Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • able to stand and walk on feet for 95% of the shift
  • able to reach, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks
  • able to climb stairs with vacuum cleaner
  • regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds
  • able to pass a background check

Job Qualifications

  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • possess good verbal, written, and listening skills
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • self-directed, energetic, and efficient
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • able to pass a background check

Job Duties

  • Obtains a list of vacant rooms that need to be cleaned
  • prepare a housekeeping cart with required supplies including sheets, towels, robes, rugs, bathroom amenities, writing supplies, guest information, cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc
  • clean all rooms by emptying trash, making beds, dusting furniture, washing windows, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor patios
  • remove all room service dishes
  • report items that are broken or need repair
  • provide courteous guest service
  • replenish bathroom amenities, writing supplies, and guest information
  • incorporate safe work practices in job performance
  • interact and communicate with guests and fellow employees in a courteous and professional manner
  • maintain flexibility to take on new tasks as directed by Department Manager
  • attend staff meetings
