Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping experience preferred
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties and lift heavy equipment
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and infection control
- ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- reliable and punctual
- ability to communicate effectively
- willingness to perform unscheduled tasks

Job Duties
- Maintains the delivery of quality housekeeping services
- receives and follows housekeeping schedule instructions as assigned
- performs specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
- cleans floors including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting while ensuring safety signs are set up
- cleans carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting
- cleans walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing
- removes dirt, dust, grease, film from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions
- replaces cubicle curtains as assigned
- discards waste/trash into proper containers and relines trash receptacles
- ensures work and assignment areas including resident and non-resident areas, porter closets, and housekeeping storage rooms are clean and organized
- discards infectious wastes/sharps in appropriate containers
- performs unscheduled housekeeping/laundry tasks as directed
- ensures housekeeping supplies are replenished
- keeps supervisor informed of supply needs
- maintains facility and equipment safety for resident comfort
- reports equipment malfunctions promptly
- follows safety precautions when using equipment and supplies
- assists others with lifting heavy equipment or supplies as directed
