Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • basic mathematical skills
  • ability to work with cleaning machinery such as extractors, vacuums, and mops
  • reliable and able to perform physical tasks
  • willingness to accept performance feedback professionally

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • previous experience in housekeeping in a similar casino or hotel environment preferred
  • knowledge of company policies and procedures including fire and safety regulations
  • ability to effectively communicate in English
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • preferred experience with Micros or similar POS software

Job Duties

  • Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, hard surfaces, carpet, and trim
  • cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas
  • sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor
  • cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • dusts furniture and equipment
  • polishes metalwork
  • washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork
  • washes windows, door panels, and sills
  • empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays
  • transports trash and waste to disposal area
  • replenishes bathroom supplies
  • replaces light bulbs
  • transports small equipment or tools between departments
  • sets up tables and chairs meeting rooms
  • maintain an open line of communication with supervisors and managers concerning all housekeeping and guest service related issues
  • maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow team members, guests and vendors
  • ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner
  • other related duties as assigned
