Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- previous housekeeping experience preferred
- knowledge of company policies and procedures
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- basic mathematical skills
- ability to work with cleaning machinery such as extractors, vacuums, and mops
- reliable and able to perform physical tasks
- willingness to accept performance feedback professionally
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- previous experience in housekeeping in a similar casino or hotel environment preferred
- knowledge of company policies and procedures including fire and safety regulations
- ability to effectively communicate in English
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- preferred experience with Micros or similar POS software
Job Duties
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, hard surfaces, carpet, and trim
- cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas
- sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture and equipment
- polishes metalwork
- washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork
- washes windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies
- replaces light bulbs
- transports small equipment or tools between departments
- sets up tables and chairs meeting rooms
- maintain an open line of communication with supervisors and managers concerning all housekeeping and guest service related issues
- maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow team members, guests and vendors
- ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner
- other related duties as assigned
