Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred
- Ability to communicate basic English
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting 30 lbs and prolonged standing
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to follow safety and security guidelines
Job Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Previous cleaning or EVS experience is preferred
- Ability to learn about cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials
- Must be able effectively communicate and execute basic requests in English
- Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 30 lbs)
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, pull, squat, kneel and bend
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, typically 8am-4:30pm including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Greeting guests and responding to queries
- Changing bed linen and making beds
- Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities such as shampoo and soap
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Vacuuming carpets
- Dusting and polishing furniture
- Emptying trash containers
- Restocking beverages and food items in the mini bar
- Cleaning public areas such as corridors
- Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs
- Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet
- Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end
- Check all appliances are in working order
- Remove room service items
- Ensure confidentiality and securing guest room
- Follow all company safety and security procedures
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
