Job Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of housekeeping experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Must be able to regularly stand and walk the premises
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance

  • Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, move and/or carry up to 25lbs and frequently up to 50lbs with assistance or appropriate equipment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test
  • Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules including weekends and evenings

Job Qualifications

  • Proficient in housekeeping systems and software such as Opera and HotSOS and Microsoft Office
  • Able to write incident reports effectively
  • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Able to effectively interact well with customers and coworkers
  • Able to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Available for full-time work including weekends and evening scheduling
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members
  • Requires strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • Bi-lingual a plus

Job Duties

  • Oversee Housekeeping Operations in all shifts
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff in public and gaming areas as well as offices
  • Assign daily tasks and schedules based on operational needs
  • Inspect areas for cleanliness, maintenance issues and compliance with standards
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment
  • Train new staff in cleaning techniques, safety procedures and company policies
  • Monitor staff and provide feedback, coaching or corrective action when necessary
  • Foster teamwork and maintain staff morale
  • Respond to guest requests, complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain housekeeping records including attendance, inspections, maintenance logs, inventory
  • Support budgeting and cost control efforts
  • Ensure knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date and conduct safety training to all team members
  • Support training initiatives for all current and new employees
  • Use checklists to successfully complete tasks
  • Participate in investigations of employee accidents when needed or escalate issues to HR
  • Communicate performance expectations to housekeeping employees and monitor progress
  • Observe service behaviors of employees and provide feedback to improve service performance
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
  • Communicate areas in need of attention to staff and follow up to ensure understanding
  • Handle employee progressive disciplinary procedures as required
  • Participate in the employee performance appraisal process and give feedback
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
