Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions
  • Ability to follow directions for chemical use
  • Dependable and motivated
  • Capability to perform physical work requiring medium strength
  • Knowledge of safety practices and HIPAA regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Knowledge of chemical safety and cleaning procedures
  • Dependable and motivated to work independently
  • Familiarity with sanitation and infection control standards
  • Ability to operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment

Job Duties

  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, and halls according to standards
  • Maintain area cleanliness to limit cross infection
  • Clean walls, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and other surfaces using cleaning solutions
  • Remove trash and refill dispensers following infection control practices
  • Notify supervisor of low supply levels and equipment malfunctions
  • Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and applying floor finishes and polish
  • Operate various cleaning equipment effectively
  • Organize work to complete all assignments with quality and efficiency
  • Follow safety standards and infection control protocols
  • Dispose of materials according to policy
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
