Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum one year of general housekeeping experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions
- Capability to work flexible shifts including day, evening, and night
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and floor care tasks
- Commitment to patient safety and infection prevention
- Must comply with Duke Health policies and procedures

Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of patient care areas following hospital standards
- Perform disinfection and room turnover activities efficiently
- Conduct floor care including stripping, waxing, scrubbing, and brushing of hard and soft floors
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support operational readiness
- Report maintenance issues and inventory needs promptly
- Assist with loading and unloading cleaning supplies and equipment
